Le Mans Series Race at Silverstone

OK - so some people will argue that LMP2 is a pale shadow of LMP1. They will also tell you all the cars are the same underneath and this is not an Alpine at all - just an Oreca chassis with a Nissan engine. But the rules mean the LMP2 cars are all closely matched, the Alpine is the reigning championship winner with a win at Le Mans in 2016 prooving its pedigree. The Silverstone race will include the LMP1 cars as well as all the GT cars. It will be interesting to see how LMP1 shakes out with the withdrawal of Audi.
