Andy Owler Mon, 3 May, 18:12 to Andy, liz.cooks.house@gmail.com Club Alpine Renault - Summer Tour - Sunday 6th June 2021 Ladies and Gentlemen, I am very pleased to confirm that everything is in place (at least at the Covid-19 moment) to hold our much delayed "Summer Tour" on Sunday 6th June. TIME TO PUT IT IN THE DIARY and let me know it you would like to come! All four authorities (MSUK, Route Liaison officers for Thames Valley and Herts, and Thames Valley Police) have now given approval - for the third time! This date (6th June) seems to be long enough after the magic re-opening date of May 17th for our three eating and drinking venues to be confident that they can accommodate us INDOORS! The area we shall visit is Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire otherwise known as "The Chilterns". There are several significant places to stop and visit e.g. the Aston Clinton Hill Climb, part of the history of Aston Martin! The 10am start (with an optional Breakfast at 9am) will be near Denham, on the A40 NW of M25/J16 The Coffee and Comfort Stop will be in Tring, Hertfordshire, around 11.30am The Finish will be at a nice hotel in Stokenchurch near M40/ J5 between 2 and 4 pm with a late lunch if you wish.
