Alpine A290 Rally Trophy 2026 Calendar
Following its successful launch at Ralley de l’Indra, the Alpine A290 Rally Trophy will be contested over six rounds of the 2026 French Rally Championship.
Building on the success of its debut at Rallye de l’Indre in early November, the Alpine A290 Rally Trophy now prepares for its first full campaign. After attracting ten crews to this historic first event, next year’s Alpine A290 Rally headline competition will take on France’s most prestigious special stages, with a six-round calendar that echoes the brand’s history.
Like the A110 Rally six years earlier, the A290 Rally will debut in the French Rally Championship at Rallye Le Touquet Pas-de-Calais. The competitors will then head to the technical roads of Rallye Vosges Grand Est before concluding the opening half of the season on the demanding Rallye Rouergue Rodez Aveyron Occitanie.
After the summer break, the iconic Alpine stages of Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine will welcome the resumption of the season. The service park will then stop at Rallye Coeur de France, where the brand has often excelled, before the season finale at Critérium des Cévennes, a rally that is usually daunting due to its challenging weather conditions.
To reward performance and consistency, the top 15 finishers in each round will be awarded points according to the following scale: 30, 25, 21, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. The three fastest drivers on each of the last six special stages of each round will also be able to score up to three ‘Performer’ points. The five best scores of the season will establish the general classification and determine the successor to Melvin Rabilloud in the hall of fame.
Competitors will race in a dedicated environment, with technical assistance, sustainable recharging solutions and an on-site spare parts service. Alpine Racing will ensure complete equity and fairness between all participants through strict technical checks and fixed allocation of Michelin tyres to control costs.
If there was any need to make the trophy even more attractive, competitors will also share up to €236,000 in bonuses and final prizes. In addition, each crew can partner with an Alpine Store as part of the Alpine Store Challenge, with the winner receiving an end-of-season prize, including dedicated marketing activities and promotions. On the driver side, the 2026 Alpine A290 Rally Trophy title winner will get an official Alpine Racing programme in 2027.
Meanwhile, the Alpine A290 Regional Trophy will offer competitors the opportunity to participate independently in different disciplines, including hill climbing and rallying, following the example of some customers right after the Rallye de l’Indre. The eligible events for 2026 will be announced soon. A number of top results, yet to be determined, will be taken into account to determine the classification and share a prize fund of several tens of thousands of euros.
