Alpine’s exciting future continues

The next generation of Alpine A110 in pure electric form will be manufactured in Dieppe, France, continuing a legacy that was started by the brand’s founder, Jean Rédélé.

Alpine has today confirmed the development of the Alpine Performance Platform – APP, which will underpin different body styles that will be launched in the coming years: coupe, spider and 2+2 – all with no compromises.

The future generation of the Alpine A110 will be developed and manufactured at the Manufacture Alpine Dieppe Jean Rédélé, ensuring full continuity with the brand’s heritage and industrial DNA.  As the birthplace of Alpine and the production site of the current A110 since the brand’s rebirth in 2017, Dieppe remains at the heart of Alpine’s story. Building the next A110 in Dieppe naturally extends this legacy, linking past, present and future generations of the brand’s iconic sports car while preserving the unique savoir‑faire that has defined Alpine since Jean Rédélé’s original vision.

Alpine Performance Platform – APP Details

Structure
The Alpine Performance Platform – APP – addresses all the technical challenges around weight, design and electrification and facilitates the creation of an EV sportscar true to Alpine’s DNA. To ensure agility, an advanced aluminium architecture is being developed, offering lightness and modularity that translates into dynamic responsiveness and efficiency. The whole architecture is stiff, featuring innovative bonded and riveted technology to support structural integrity and lightweight design.
Chassis and its electronical and mechanical integration
To respect the 40/60% front:rear balance of a true sports car, two battery packs are being added to the architecture, in order to maintain the A110’s iconic, sporty silhouette. To further reduce the weight and its charging time, the 800V cell-to-pack batteries will be included in the Alpine Performance Platform – APP, with high energy density cells. Part of the platform, a new rear dual e-motor 3-in-1 e-axle is being developed, delivering exceptional torque and performance with ultrafast control, thanks to its SIC inverter. Mechanically, the Alpine Performance Platform – APP will benefit from two new full aluminium suspension set-ups, plus new integrated braking and steering systems.
High-tech brain
The Alpine Dynamic Model – ADM ECU – is the high-tech brain of the platform, integrating seamlessly everything from the battery management to the e-motors, managing the brakes, steering, and active aerodynamics.
Exhilarating Experience
To enhance the driving experience of the next generation of Alpine EV sports cars, the brand has developed Alpine Active Torque Vectoring – AATV – to ensure a true lightweight feel. Every 10 milliseconds the system can deliver different torque on the right and left wheels, for the very best dynamic performance.
Furthermore, a Formula 1-inspired driving position – low-slung, with a vertical steering wheel and all the key instruments within easy sight and reach– sets the driver at the heart of the car.

Philippe Krief, Chief Executive Officer of the Alpine brand explains “Our ambition is to become the leading French sports speciality brand in the world, offering the best driver’s cars of the EV era. We will do this by constantly embracing new technologies and bonding them with Alpine’s DNA.”
First, we are focusing on our growth goals with the Alpine A290 and the Alpine A390, allowing us to attract new customers.
Then, just as today the Alpine A110 is the foundation of our brand, showcasing our commitment to deliver high-technology products, we will offer the first true EV sportscar to the market. It will be true to Alpine’s DNA and outperform the best of today’s combustion sports cars, thanks to the Alpine Performance Platform.
Beyond this, by remaining agile and flexible, Alpine will to be able to react in real time to market evolutions; our strategy is as adaptable as it is robust.”
