The Real Aircraft Club based at Breighton Airfield (located between Selby and York) has invited Club Alpine Renault and the Yorkshire Motor Club to join in the fun of their G-George 1940’s Weekend on Saturday 15 August. The vintage aircraft alone are worth the visit and a sight to behold. Tuition planes excepted, it’s doubtful that any of them are younger than early fifties, and there must be around sixty in total. Add to those the G-George 1940’s special events, and we are promised a fun-filled weekend.
We have been given a space for 20 cars to share with the Yorkshire Motor Club . Entry is free for the display cars with driver and one passenger. Cars must be in place by 9.00 am. As part of the display, it would be good if you could stay for the day but not essential. If you do need to leave, the organisers ask that you are vigilant regarding the high numbers of pedestrians.
